ITAMI [痛み]

Emerson Núñez [Itami] is a music producer and composer who lives in Nottingham. As a producer and manager he has collaborated with artists in the Mexico's Independent circle. His solo music project is an apology of pain where Itami, Japanese for pain, have found on his music the way to express, heal and transform the agony on art. Itami have also played the role of manager with several projects like Indigo Sur, The Old Band of the Lost Generation, Quintaesencia and many more. Looking for the best way to reach the audience that the music project needs.

Itami is an Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey graduated with the Digital Music Production Engineering Bc. During his academic preparation Itami took a main role on the ITESM student life. Exerting the roles as VP of the Student Society and President of the AES Student Section. Winning awards as the best ITESM student Society, third place on the AES contest: So you think you can mix? and participating into the first ITESM Cinema festival. Curently Emerson is also finishing his MA with the dissertation "Fandom and Superfan Dynamics: Contextual Influences on Music Consumption and Delivery - A Comparative Analysis of Emo, Reggaeton, and K-Pop".

As an audio engineer Itami have worked on the best Latin-American recording studios such as Estudios 13 and Estudios noviembre working as recording assistant, console engineer and customer manager assistant where he had the opportunity of working artists like Ruben Albarran, Mon Laferte, Los Panchos, La Sonora Santanera, Alex Mercado and many more.  

Currently, Itami is developing his manager career with projects like Indigo Sur, Los Yeahs and Conejo Mortes that are opening their path on the Independent mexican music scene. As well, Itami is continuously growing as a mixing engineer, master engineer and music producer..
